Calla and Snow White

It's really odd that these two have something in common? Doesn't Calla wear dresses simular to Snow White's?

reply

Yes she does, it's her 'dress attire' for special occasions and the like. ANd I believe they did that for a reason. If you remember correctly (well, you dont' have to, it's just somehtign I remember) Snow White was actually their very first Disney Princess. Her's was the very first princess themed movie and, while Cinderella's castle is Disney's showcase and Tinkerbelle is their mascot, Snow White will always be the original.

How many episodes did Calla wear the dress in?

reply

Not too sure, at the very least five. Before she wore that, though, there was an episode where she wore a dress of the same make only it was pink and white with no high collar.

Are you talking about the one she wore in "Princess Problems"?

reply

Sorry, I was wrong. The dress I meant was green not pink and it was in the third season episode 'Eye of the Beholder' when her father was going to marry the evil witch. Techincally not hte first either becasue she wore the Snow White looking one in the second season episode 'You snooze, you loose' when Iggthirn puts everyone but her and Cavin (they were elswhere at the time) to sleep.
She also wheres a light blue one while in a parade towards the end of the sixth seson episode 'King Igthorn prt 1'. In 'Princess Problems' the dress she was wearign was one of Maria's dresses, not her own Snow white like dresses, which is actually soemthign I find raather funny since the Snow White style is French. Calla's line of Royalty is more English in nature adn Maria has the distinctive French accent. IN fact, in 'May the Best Princess Win' Maria has those particular puffed sleeves on her riding outfit.
One thing that always bothered me about Disney was their style bashign when it came to make beleive kingdoms. A knowledgable person (they obviously think kids arent' that smart) would notice those kind of things right away, especially the kind of kids that are always askign questions. But it was also a fact I learned to live with too....

Here's the rundown of what Calla wore on Gummi Bears:

1. "You Snooze, You Lose": Calla wears an early version of her white Snow White-like dress and gets it:
A. Muddy while walking through a puddle
B. Rips off a sleeve while trying to close the drawbridge
C. An ogre rips off part of her skirt while battling the ogres with Cavin and the Gummies.

2. "Eye of the Beholder": Wears a green-blue colored Snow White dress when Gregor attempts to marry Marzipan.
Fact: First time Calla wore tights

3. "Girls Knight Out": Wears the second version of her white Snow White-like dress while attending the squires tournament.

4. "Guess Who's Gumming to Dinner?": Wears her white Snow White-like dress to the Gummies' Fall's Farewell Dinner.
Fact: First and only time Calla wore her hair in a braid while wearing the dress and crown at a formal event.

5. "Ogre for a Day": Although not seen, Calla wears the same dress she wore in "Eye of the Beholder" while Gregor announces Cavin saving him from Igthorn.

6. "The White Knight": Wears her white Snow White-like dress at Sir Victor's award ceremony.

7. "Princess Problems": Wears a pink dress that Marie is also wearing when she visits Dunwyn.

8. "May the Best Princess Win": Wears a white gown to Dinner at Jean Claude and Marie's kingdom.

9. "Queen of the Carpies": Wearing an incomplete gown version of her white Snow White-like dress while preparing for the royal reception.

10. "King Igthorn Pt. 1": Wears a light blue Snow White-like dress at the Monarch's Day parade that was later attacked by Igthorn and his troops. Calla may have been forced to take off the dress after the episode ended because she wore her usual blue dress in "King Igthorn Pt. 2"

11. "Up, Up, and Away": Wears a long white dress and red cape at Cubbi's knighting ceremony.

Episodes she should have worn her white Snow White-like dress:

1. Beg, Burrow and Steal: If the producers had time, they would've shown Calla getting royally confirmed. It would've also been the second time the Gummies would be seen in their formal clothes.

2. Trading Faces: She could've at least dressed up for the banquet.

Specific Mention that should've been turned into an episode:

*In "Guess Who's Gumming For Dinner?", when Calla tells Sunni about her first grand ball, they should made this into an episode with Calla as the star.

There, that about sums it up.

I see. It's actually a little rude to ask for an answer adn then throw and even more knowledgable answer right back into the face of the person trying to help you. I have only recently downlaoded my episodes from the net, soem of them are pretty degraded and a few of them dont' even work period. Still, I tired to find your answer for you, though I couldnt' look very well because I had to go to work also.
I understand you were just joking around, but some jokes arent' funny for the other person.

It's fitting since Snow White was Disney's first animated film princess and Calla was Disney's first TV series princess...

There's another point: In "Eye of the Beholder" Calla was about to become another born Princess to have a wicked stepmother.
