Gummi Bears or Talespin?

Gummi Bears & Talespin. The 2 best things Disney has ever done & probably ever will do. I prefer Gummi Bears, but Talespin's a very very VERY close second.

I perfer Gummi Bears also between the two. Gummi Bears was my 2nd favorite "Disney Afternoon" show after Duck Tales. As far as "Disney Afternoon" shows go I liked them in this order:

1. Duck Tales
2. Gummi Bears
3. Darkwing Duck
4. Talespin
5. Rescue Rangers
6. Goof Troop
7. Bonkers

With the exception of Bonkers, which was just OK, I'd say all of these shows are some of the best things Disney has ever done.

I loved Ducktales but watching it now it's kind of boring. Yet I'm 28 and still find Gummi Bears easy to watch and like lol.

reply

Hmmmm.... Well I'm currently 31 and haven't watched either show in many, many years so I really can't comment on how I would rank them now. I've found many times that when I've tried to reexperiecne treasures from my childhood that they are not quite what I remembered them to be and therefore, I've no intention of watching either Ducktales or Gummi Bears ever again. I perfer to keep them as they are in my childhood memories.

AHEM, the question is Gummi Bears or Talespin, not Gummi Bears or Ducktales. While were on this subject here's my 2 cents. I just cannot see Ducktales beating Gummi bears. Talespin I can see. Chip N' Dale Rescue Rangers I can see. But not Ducktales. DT is one of my favorite cartoons, but it's outclassed when it comes to G-Bears, TS & CDRR. It lacks a little something called depth, mainly in the character department. The main characters are great, but the guest characters needed a lot of work for the most part. They didn't exactly scream "bring me back!" like the ones in the other shows. As much as I love the Ducktales movie(best Disney movie after The Great Mouse Detective, Rescuers Down Under & Chronicles of Narnia) I feel that the better shows should've got the movie treatment before it. Ducktales is my 4th favorite though. But hey, that's your opinion, & you have the right to say it, even if I don't agree with it.

Here's how I would rank my favorite DA shows:

1.Gummi Bears
2.Talespin
3.Chip N' Dale Rescue Rangers
4.Ducktales
5.Darkwing Duck
6.Mighty Ducks
7.Timon & Pumbaa
8.Aladdin

And yes, these shows are some of the best things Disney has ever done & probably ever will do.

Actually, Gummi Bears, Talespin & Rescue rangers ARE the best things Disney has ever done.

reply

Actually it's funny you mention Talespin...generally I don't really consider myself a big fan of the other DA shows (although I do enjoy them all to some degree)...but Talespin was probably my 2nd favorite DA show. Ducktales is also up there...but I didn't really like the setting/characters (I can tolerate bears more I guess).

But Gummi Bears had it all for me...the perfect medieval setting, the great Disney animation, the wonderful characters and storyline...both are great in their own right, but for me, just the fact that GB was in a medieval setting puts it at the top. I was such a fan of that era when I was young and loved GB for this reason the most.

Talespin had this song "Home is where the heart is." It's my 2nd favorite Disney afternoon song too. I never heard it in the show but I've listened to it many times on the Disney afternoon CD.

to be honest I never really liked talespin. So gummi bears all the way, one of the best shows of my childhood

I loved both but "Gummi Bears" was my fav but only just. "Talespin" did have the best theme tune and I am so sad I even downloaded it. My secret shame!

Tale spin was always my most fav cartoon show growing up! I just loved the action and the humor that it had. Gummi Bears and Chip n Dale were also my other favs.
