i just found out that "The gummi bears" was the name of the show i watched when i was little! i'd forgottn cos i'd stopped watching when i was like 6 (just to clarify i am now 14 so i'm pretty sure i was just watching repeats but whatever. i loved this episode about this dragon (possibly purple). my brother an di used to watch it every morning before we went to school, then the station stopped airing it and we eventually forgot about it.
now i have the theme song stuck in my head. lol

its okay. I grew up with it as well but I was born in 1985. I used to watch it before school as well :P However, I had to watch the German version and I am pretty sure the English one is even better!

I might buy all seasons one day and watch it all over again.
