No they are not releasing it this November, only DuckTales and TaleSpin have been scheduled and an announcement at this point is unlikely.

This means no Rescue Rangers either, possible because they just want to pace the releases a little for the next years to come. I'm quite sure it did better than Gargoyles.

I agree. They did announce Volume 1 last year back in the summer if I recall right for a November release, and the only real site saying there is a volume 2 confirmed is wikipedia which is not a valid source.

All they state is:
"TBA: 3-disc box set holding final 48 episodes of Disney's first animated series (Seasons 4-6)"

Something anyone with half a brain could have guessed. Let's hope TBA is this November. Good news is that we are definately getting more Disney cartoons around that time, Gummi Bears or not.

Well, one thing is for sure: If a Volume 2 is ever going to be released, you will hear about it months in advance of it ever coming out. The publisher, Disney (Buena Vista previously) will make an announcement and release its DVD lineup to its merchandise specialists so they know in advance. I know because I used to work as one in 2006 when Gummi Bears 1 came out. We knew about it since summer before the November release and I was SO happy when I saw it on our list!

It is strange they didn't release VOL 2 in 2008. From my experience they tend to release their TV volumes 2 years apart. We still have time to find out about a possible 2009 release, which would make it now 3 years apart. Way too long!

So, any new word out concerning Gummi Bears box-set 2?

This is just idle chatter mind you... so I don't want to hear any flack about starting rumors... supposedly some of the release delays may have to do with the re-visitation of some of those licenses and product lines. As Disney has been sooo prone to do, there is always the possibility of revanmping some of these characters for new direct to dvd movies and stories, as well as trying to resurrect one or two for a new TV run. I'd put my money on Ducktales, maybe Chip N' Dale for something like that, being such massive Disney staples and having the potential ties to so many other disney classics, makes the possibilities endless. That usually becomes prime release time for those older sets when they have a HOT new title to sell along side... oh and don't forget the bonus sets with the different plush toys to choose from. So much of the new Disney SUCKS soooo bad, maybe a few of the older toons can bring it back home. As I said in the beginning, this is all board whisper and speculation, I don't claim any of this is set to happen, for all I know it may just be wishful thinking. BUUUUUUTTTTT, as we all know this pattern fits, and has worked for Disney and so many others to separate us suckers from our hard earned cash.

In Hungary the last one just came out, and now we have the whole series on DVD :) (It has English too, ofc, if anyone is desperate to import it).

Strangely it's divided into 2 seasons rather than 6, the first season has 17 episodes and the second has the rest. I guess this is how it was first aired in my country, but it's still strange. But what am I complaining, we've got all episodes :)
