Kirk and the accusations

So I just found out today that one of the original producers of the show was convicted of child porn in 2010. I remember the E! True hollywood story back in the early 2000s detailing that the reason the original producers left the show was because Kirk accused them of being pornographers. Everyone was outraged and Kirk took the fall for making up lies. In light of the 2010 conviction do you believe Kirk was right? I know he's like super crazy religious guy but I remeber at the time people called him a liar and were really upset with him. I thought he lost his mind accusing these guys of something so heinous. Now I feel differently. Maybe he was trying to take a stand at the time. I don't know. I was just curious of other fans thoughts.

That was my thought too. His behavior with the actress that played Julie was wrong, but on this one he was dead right. The industry seems to be full of degenerates and that was a battle he'd never win but seems like there may have been some truth to it

I remember seeing Marshall on the "E! True Hollywood Story" on "Growing Pains" in the early 2000s, back before E! became "The Kardashian Network", and I thought that Cameron was out of line. Now I know that I was wrong and so were a lot of people. I just hope that Kirk and the other kids on that show weren't abused by Marshall or anyone else on the show. If they were, those men should be punished severely.

I DID think that Kirk was out of line for his behavior towards Julie McCullough. She posed for "Playboy" which, at the time, was a big deal. Nowadays that wouldn't even be newsworthy. Whatever you think of her decision, at least Julie was in a market for adults.

I agree about the Julie thing. Kirk was on an ego trip and could dictate more because he was the star. She was on the show for a full season and he didn't have a problem, then he woke up one day and did. You don't mess with someone's livlihood over something that's a non issue. Viewers weren't complaining so there was no reason for the firing.

And, interestingly enough, ratings went DOWN after Julie left the show.

Playboy was just an excuse. He had her fired to get his girlfriend a job on the show.

He could've just been irritated with them. I doubt he knew what one of the producers was up to. If he had why hadn't he reported it to the police?
