How was the show able to get away with the nickname Boner?

Boner was a goof up who got the nickname Boner.

I'm not surprised they "got away with it," but I am sort of surprised that Kirk Cameron (as irrational as he was) didn't object.

I agree with the one of the other posters, saying boner was used in elementary school back then, I definately remember kids saying it back then, when your dick gets hard, lol

Yup I remember most of those days where I learned what certain things meant from other kids. Lol nothing like public school to jump start your mind in the gutter.

I just saw "Ben's Movie" from season 5. In the "movie" Ben is using a phone with a sign above it that reads "Pubic Phone" and he's trying to call President BUSH.....lol So yes, Kirk Cameron f-ed up a funny show!
