Why Couldn't Sable Add 2+2?

A) She knows something is going on between Frankie & Jason
B) She finds a letter from Frankie's husband Phillip, Jason's brother, saying Frankie's unborn baby (Jeff) isn't his
C) She knows that at the time Frankie became pregnant, she and Jason were both living under the same roof

Despite all of the above, it doesn't occur to her that if Phillip isn't the father, Jason is the most likely candidate. Instead she drags Jeff into court to prove he isn't a Colby and had no right to be given Constance's stock. And is totally shocked when Jason winds up declaring he is Jeff's father.

For somebody who was supposed to be smart, that was a truly dumb move.

Sable didn't know that Jason had slept with Frankie. I'm sure Jason had assured her that nothing happened and she believed him.

I think she assumed Frankie was a lying tramp and a ho and that Jeff's bio father was some unknown Tom, Dick or Harry that Frankie hooked up with.

You have to figure that what ended up being the case is the last thing a spouse would wish to accept. Your husband not only cheats on you, it results in a pregnancy and the other woman is none other than your sister. I'm sure Sable (like most wives) was in a state of denial until the evidence became irrefutable. It was a very hard truth to have to accept and I happen to think it was a misstep on The Colby's part to go in this direction. Nonetheless, they did, and having done so, I think Sable was written in a very true-to-life manner as it would relate to women who went through the same thing in reality.
