The last episode...

I've been watching 227 on TVOne a lot lately. Episodes in 1989/Stoney Jackson episodes have started airing. So, I know the last one will be comin' up soon. But, I'd like to know what happens in the last episode?--Does Brenda graduate high school, perhaps attend the same college as Calvin?--Mary, Lester, Rose, and Pearl move out of 227?--Sandra falls in love with a 'millionaire' than they get married and move to some beautiful mansion?

So what really happens? Also, don't forget Dylan & Stoney, as for Alexandria I guess she left a while ago~since she goes to live with her father, if I remember correctly.

"No Place Like Home" (5/6/1990)
Mary dreams that she's homeless after misinterpreting a plea for help from a street person (homeless advocate Theodore Hayes) as a threat to her safety.

Thanx for the info.

Judging from the show description it sure doesn't seem like much of an ending or last episode. Does it tell what happens to everyone in 227?

I didn't know that the homeless episode was the last. I remember Brenda did graduate high school and Mary was in the hospital at the time with appendicitis. The fuuny line from this episode is when the patient in the room has her bandages removed (played by Phyllis Diller) and she screams that "ugh I look loike Phyllis Diller. Mary response was "Phyllis Diller"? Child, Id ask for my money back". But NBC did abruptly cancel this show. This is one of my absolute all time favorite sitcoms. The jokes never become dated.

@ guariello

I remember Brenda did graduate high school

Yeah, that episode was titled 'Class of '90' just like the same for when Calvin graduated a year before.

Was the show cancelled b/c of low ratings..?

yes it was...not sure exactly why it was canned but i got to think it was because of fading ratings...and maybe because they wanted to put on something else i don't know when did Nurses start airing??? i know nbc had a deal with Susan Harris (of Golden Girls and Empty Nest and of course BENSON!) to air a third show on sat nights with Golden Girls and Empty Nest so its possible that it was bumped in favor of Nurses...or not since it looks like nurses started in '91...hmmmm... well it was bumped in favor of something i know that....they tried a couple of "black shows" in that hour too....they had "Here and Now" with Malcom Jamal Warner (AKA THEO!!!) and Up All Night with man i forget who was in that one...Patti Labelle maybe??? anyways i remember one year those were on sats at 8 and 8 30 i forget which year exactly so maybe one of those replaced 227 and Amen (i know amen was canned in 90 as well or was that '91??)
man nbc saturday nights in the 80's and early 90;s was like the place to be unless of course it was tgif on abc on fridays...ahhh i miss tv the way it was! with sitcoms!

The show started to get low ratings after Sandra left. So a year after, they canceled the show.
