Is it just me or does the one door in the back of the apartment serve as the bathroom, mary and lester's bedoroom, AND Brenda's room. I used to think there were two doors there, but I only see one. Any time anyone goes anywhere in the apartment (other than the kitchen), they go into that one door.

shareI remember thinking the same thing, but in one episode someone (a relative) came to visit, and Brenda said 'I'm going to take her (the relative) upstairs to show her my room". So, maybe the door in the back leads to a staircase that goes upstairs to two bedrooms.
shareThere was a supposed small hallway which led to two bedrooms & a bathroom. If Brenda mentioned taking someone "upstairs" then she was probably on the ground level of the apartment building because their apt. was upstairs but supposedly only one level.

It never appeared to me that this doorway was to lead into a hallway. It didn't seem there'd be enough space for more than one small room back there, even if the viewer were expected to use their imagination.
And in the episode with Roxie (Dr. Thelma Butler) Lester says Mary's in the bedroom for an hour getting dressed, or something. Pearle chimes in to add: just be glad she ain't in the bathroom!
But that mysterious door is closed leading to Mary's bedroom, and everyone's sitting in the living room waiting for her to come out. So apparently in this episode, at least, this is meant to be one bedroom. Then in other episodes, it might be Brenda's, etc. Yep, a definite continuity issue!
Brendas room was on other side behind kitchen area and the parents were behind wall near front door. But I nvr questioned a 2nd bathroom for brenda or guest unless it was near master bedroom.
shareA hallway is mentioned in the episode, And Baby Makes Three S03 E04, during which Brenda and her schoolmates had to take care of the baby animals for sex education.
Brenda's pig got away from them while being given a bath and it was said she got wet the bathroom, hallway, and Lester's side of the bed.
