A road movie shot entirely in Los Angeles
Other than a couple of stock shots in New York, this movie was shot entirely in L.A. And kudos to the filmmakers for making it look like a real road picture on a tiny budget. The H. Salt Fish'n'Chips in North Hollywood. The old Holiday Inn in Hollywood. Various theaters around town. I've never heard anyone complain about the locations. Sure, a comedy can get away with stuff like this more than a "serious" movie but it is still impressive. And yes, years ago most "road" movies were actually shot on Hollywood soundstages but that was before Easy Rider changed the rules about road picts.
