Most Spinal Tap-like band

I'm going with Iron Maiden.

Just watch this movie then immediately watch the "Number of the Beast" video.

(great song btw, nothing that I know of compares to the awfulness of Spinal Tap music, and yes I know it's suppose to be bad)

After reading "Iron Man" the autobiography by Tony Iommi the lead guitarist in Black Sabbath I would say Black Sabbath. Stonehenge came from them wanting a replica on stage which turned out to be way too huge. They also had a dwarf running about it.

They were so zonked on various drugs that their drummer was lit on fire a few times, one time he suffered very critical burns. They also changed members various times going back and forth between originals and fill ins, except for Tony who is the only continuous member.

Sometimes a movie or tv show plot is so stupid that only the stupid can understand it.

A combination of "The Sweet", "The Who", "Led Zeppelin" and "Queen". :)

"The Sweet" had many changes in music ideas/band image and suffered bad management at one point; "The Who" make a big thing about being loud and dramatic; "Led Zeppelin" presented the artifice of being awesome rock interpreters of folk and classical themes; and "Queen" had big success in US, Europe and Japan in 1975 after a string of bad luck with illness, cancellation of performances, and an acrimonious relationship with their manager at the time.

Quiet Riot, Twisted Sister, Kiss.

Iron Maiden for sure. I thought the Iron Maiden IMdb was Spinal tap.

I was just wondering about that, when I came here.

I always thought KISS might be the most Spinal Tap like. Some of their lyrics would fit in a spinal tap song.

"I'm gonna get down, gonna get in your face
I'm gonna put my log
in your fireplace."
