When Kirk tells Sulu and Chekov he is going Genesis regardless,Chekov is wearing a brown leather jacket.When he beams down to Genesis before the Klingons re-appear he is not holding or wearing it but when he see him on Genesis as the Enterprise burns in the atmosphere he is wearing the jacket!Seen this film so often yet this is the first time l noticed the appearing disaplearing appearing jacket!!

shareWhat is odd however is that Chekov still has self destruct clearance, when he wasn't actually stationed on the Enterprise at the time, he was still an officer of the Reliant.
Although having to go through self destruct clearance every time you're stationed on a new wessel would be an irritation, and you still need three clearances, including the Captains.
I guess Admiral Kirk reinstated him as he referred to himself as acting science officer a post he had in the series.
