Does anybody know which stone is more valuable? Ruby or emerald?
Rubies generally apparently, but it depends on the market and a ton of other factors (quality of the gem, etc.). Both are generally thought to be more valuable than diamonds or, generally, any other gemstone.
Something like 90 percent of all emeralds are mined out of Colombia, so in that way at least it makes sense that the jewel in this film is an emerald.
