This movie actually shows how a real modern woman can become tough. She can't just be born that way like the Rey character in SW: The Force Awakens. She has to be taught how to be tough... like ANY other person. And OMG! Yes, if that means she has to learn from a man, she has to learn from a man.

Wasn't Rey from Tatooine? Wouldn't she have grown up tough, or seen the harsher side of life?

what i liked was the bit where she got away from the villain by stabbing him in the face with his cigar. it was quick wits, rahter than her suddenly becoming improbably gifted at martial arts or something,
