"Molly ... there's a dog. So pretty ... how he shines."
Gunn also said he never saw Night of the Creeps.
shareI don't see the connection. Night of the Creeps, yes. Slither didn't have tadpole monsters nor monsters eating humans. It also lacked a vegetarian party.
shareFrom Beyond and Society were definitely an influence on the makers of Slither.
shareslither i though it was hiliarous but not really that scary though i though the gore was good but didn't find it that scary soulscour7!
sharejohnlindsey289 just saw it online, clever fun, hiliarous and pretty scary b movie, pretty gory but not as gory as night of the living dead 1968 film!
shareNah, Slither was good and fun. But the Deadly Spawn is way better in my opinion (I'm just a nostalgic guy)
You can clearly detect some inspirations in Slither, but not from this film
Horror, Science Fiction & Fantasy
SLITHER is more like an unofficial remake of NIGHT OF THE CREEPS (1986)
It occurred to me that Stephen King must have been inspired by those creatures in this, when he wrote "Dream-catcher". Remember the movie? Slimy slugs with thirty percent sharp teeth.

Yes, I do. In fact, producer Ted Bohus mentioned "Slither" in a Q&A session he did at a 35 mm screening I recently attended for this movie.
