Why didn't the two of them just give in and make sweet love already?

I got sick of watching Max and Noodles being "angry" towards each other throughout the whole film, especially that scene where Max slaps him, that was so lover's tiff. It was sad watching them hide behind their mistresses and stuff when they clearly wanted each other so bad.

Their religious upbringing, coupled with feelings of guilt and shame over their repressed homosexual yearnings, definitely played a role in turning them into violent, misogynistic thugs.

Haha, thought this thread was going to be about the car scene

Wow... what a perfectly misguided 2018 response.

Sorry, but they weren't gay. Believe it or not, you can have a best friend who you argue with. It doesn't mean you want to bang them.

Noodles was a disgusting rapist peeping Tom. I don't think he would have spied on Deborah for hours at a time for years if he was interested in dudes.

It was a joke. Just cause the other dude here took it seriously it doesn't mean I was serious.

Haha, I'm sorry.

You wouldn't believe how many serious posts on all of these movies bring up the same thing.

Just thought it was yet another "was this character secretly gay" post.

My apologies.
