Damn, the 80s were tacky

The big hair, the clothes, the music, the mall, etc.

The women however were straight up sexy!

Very tacky but that is all part of its charm.

It was horrible for almost anything fashion or culture wise. But like the last poster said, that was part of it's charm. I graduated from college in 1979 and when the 80's hit, i was just hitting my stride as a young single dude finding his way.
Good times baby !

It's interesting seeing certain fashions coming back in, though. The 80s style doesn't seem nearly as hideous now as it did when looking back, say, 10-15 years ago.

I just watched this movie for my first time and I got to say I'm a big fan of 80's movies, I've been going back and watching all the ones I missed at the time and this one is very tacky. I didn't think it was that good, could've been so much cooler / better. I mean how dumb can they all be in this? Oh well no big deal. I do gotta say though that the 80's, having lived during them, was the best decade ever. I'd taking anything from the 80's over anything in the world today.

I agree about the 80's. Everything was fun, hanging at the mall was EPIC! The first and only real social network.

reply

Me too. I love everything 80s even though I was only a kid in the 80s.

I was a kid too, I was 6 in 1980 so by the end of the 80s I was 16, personally I felt that was the best ages to live that whole decade. I had the time of my life. I have a greater love for the 80s with every passing day. Call me crazy but I think the world is getting worse every day.

If you think the 80s were tacky, you would have loved the 70s!
