Does any one know the budget of this film or the other mupp films?
Also, was the Joan rivers sequence all improv? I wonder....
Not sure of the Joan Rivers part was improv or not, but I always wondered whatever happened to the Miss Piggy puppet used in that scene. I wonder if it was ruined with all the makeup or if the Henson family have it stored someplace?
shareThat scene might have been a little improvised, but I know that pretty much they wrote out what they wanted to have happen in the script. In the Jim Henson interview on the dvd he talks about the guest stars in the movie and says that the parts weren't written for individual starts--the parts were written and then they found guest stars that they thought would do those scenes well. He specifically mentions the Joan Rivers scene, how they wrote out that part and then afterwards decided Rivers would be excellent for the part.
