changes Frank Oz made

I've read an interview with Frank Oz where he mentioned that he told Jim Henson that he didn't think that the original script was going in the right direction, and Jim Henson therefore let him rewrite the script and then made him director (in fact, this is quoted on Frank Oz's Muppet Wiki page). I wonder what the original script was like, and what kinds of changes he made.

I wonder if the script originally had the Muppet Babies sequence, or if the wedding was different, or if the Muppets even seperated. I wonder if there are any characters who originally had bigger parts.

Food for thought.

Verrry interesting. I've only seen the movie once, but I thought that the 1st half of the movie was a waste of film, but the 2nd half was fabulous. Starting where Kermit and friends start walking through the city going "hmmm, hmmmm, hmmm," from there on out the movie got much better. The climax with the wedding was simply fantastic. I always thought that there must have been two writers involved because of this difference in quality.
