I truly loved that this was one of the darkest films of all muppet movies. I consider it to be the best.

The One Armed race shall inherit the Earth, the 2 armers shall be our slaves.

reply

lol do Cookie Monster and Bert really show up somewhere in this movie?

I have to see it

reply

Yep! In fact, all the Sesame street cast shows!

MY favorite major characters: Kermit (duh!), Fozzie, Gonzo, and Rizzo
My favorite minor characters: Bill, Gill, and Jill, and Beth
I've seen this along with The Muppet Movie, and Muppet Treasure Island.

it is awesome isnt it, i think that the great muppet caper is just ever so slightly beaten by this one (but the bit where the muppets are on the bicycles in londons Hyde park is the greatest sequence of any film ever!! and i love the music thats playing - couldnt we ride, side by side truly great)

but the muppets take manhatten has it all doesnt it, great laughs, great songs, ALL the muppets in the church at the end where kermy and piggy finally marry, the muppet babies part is AWESOME - i think this would have to be the best of the bunch. isnt it just so lucky for us jim henson had the chance and time to get kermit to where he eventually got him, i think the world would be a worse of place without the muppets (my life would be!) theyll never be as good as when jim was there, but theyll always live on and the best ones are still there for us to watch4eva

I so totally agree~!!!!! I am a big muppet fan~! My friends tease me because of it, really~! If only they knew what they were missing out on...They are soo cool~!! I can't really choose which movie is my favorite, but I think that the top 5 have got to be: (in no particular order)
Muppet Movie
Muppet Treasure Island
Muppet Classical Theatre
Great Muppet Caper
Muppet Christmas Carol

me and my brother grew up with this movie...he loves it so much that at his wedding last summer, he and his wife made their entrance to the reception while the wedding song from the movie was playing...it was hysterical...not to mention, all my friends noticed i was singing along, as i was a bridesmaid and was on the dance floor waiting to greet them.

"extra, extra...somebody's getting married!!"

"maybe that's all family really is; a group of people who miss the same imaginary place."

reply

I honestly believe that this is the greatest movie ever made. Maybe that's going too far, but the songs and sequences in this film never fail to bring me back to life. Even after seeing it "97 times".

reply
