IS IT JUST ME????

Is it just me or is the bit where kermit gets knocked down and is lying in the road sooooooooo sad and disturbing?

i know he makes a full recovery but god did that bit have impact (no pun intended) as long as kermit continues to exist i hope i never see him in such a helpless position again, i just wanted to rescue him and nurse him back to health - i bet that bit makes kids cry, its part of the script but that is the saddest part of anything to do with the muppets, and i hope we never have to see anything like that again!

im not joking, when i think of the films ive seen - eg the exorcist, saving private ryan, schindlers list etc - that image of kermit laying on the road with everyone crowded round him will haunt me for ever!!!!!!!!!!

nope, not just you. I always used to get upset at that part too. if I am feeling particularly emotional I still get tears and I am 26 yrs old!

On the Muppet Family Christmas that was on TV in the '80s, Miss Piggy is trying to get to the farmhouse to spend Christmas with Kermie. Well, her car gets stuck in a snow bank, & she is trying to shove it out. There is a close up right before the end of the scene that shows her face getting covered in muddy snow. That scene ALWAYS made me cry when I was little & still disturbs me today.

Yeah I would have been really sad to see Kermit in that condition when I was young, but I was 15 when I first saw Muppets take Manhattan. I aggree with that one person about when Piggy got covered in snow. I was alittle distbured by that even though I was not a big fan of Piggy.

That was sad and when he wakes up and doesn't remember who is it's like somthing out of a daytime soap opera rather than a muppet movie.

Here's what you can take from that:
1. Look both ways before you cross the damn street.
2. Watch the traffic light.
3. Have ID on your ass.

I used to hate this movie as a kid because of that scene and the whole "saying goodbye" scene near the beginning. So sad. It's been a long time since I've seen it, I'd probably like it more now.

HAHAHAHAHAHA This thread had me cracking up like crazy. Thanks especially to the OP, PossiblyMaybe and stevenackerman.
So funny!

I found a bird closing her eyes, one last time, and I wonder if she dreamed like me
