World Trade Center not shown?

I just watched the DVD after seeing this in theaters as a child.

It's hard to believe the Twin Towers were never show in a movie set in Manhattan. Were they edited out after 9/11?

It's such a shame that movie studios think we have to pretend these buildings never existed.

I just saw this movie yesterday, and the same thought crossed my mind. No twin towers. They seemed to focus on the Empire State Bldg as more emblematic of NYC

The DVD I have is from 2001 and it's not in there. Unless it was released in the last two months of 2001 with a VERY quick editing job, it was released before it happened.

Before the catastrophe, I barely knew that they existed.

Among some nostalgists, the Empire State Building was seen as a romantic fixture, and the WTC was seen as a usurper.
