Terrible! But amusing in places

Greatest scene ever: Towards the end, there's a boat gun fight that seems to last an eternity. About a million bullets are fired DIRECTLY towards each other yet no one get's hit for about a decade. The gunship takes so long to approach, it's as if they just used the same frickin' shot over and over again - I've never seen something so inept. It was mindnumbing.

Haha!!
The guy on the boat lost me. I thought he was the captain at first. I was like "wtf? Why hire this loon". As you said, he just happened to do a Jason and transport onto the boat with an axe. So funny though.

The final act is so insane it's just...well, crazy.

The second, part two (which was meant to be part one), is half decent to be fair. It's still got loads of bad moments but it's more solid and until the final act there is some sense of, dare I say, realism. It's not as bad as this but it's not much of an improvement.

The third is just inane.

I'm glad someone else had the same reaction to this as me. I caught the end of this very tedious action flick last night, and that scene was very funny for the amount of time it took for the enemy boat to arrive on the scene and how many bullets were fired. It must have been a football pitch away from the other boat when they started firing, and then after about a minute the good guy gets shot, then the other good guy swims onboard from the smaller boat nearby, starts shooting himself for a minute and then it blows up, and the enemy boat still hadn't quite arrived despite all this time travelling towards the good guys' boat. I think they must have reused the same footage of it getting nearer about 3 times.

Hilarious, but not surprising from Canon films.

Whatever. I think this is the best war movie ever. At least certainly in the Vietnam War genre films
