DVD now available directly from Warner's webpage!

A DVD-R is not a DVD. Shame on WARNERS and MGM. 26.99 for a burned copy? Really? What you are getting is essentially a flea market product at 3 TIMES the 9.99 retail cost of bare bones of a pressed DVD. Absolutely despicable.

Well, Warners has dropped the price to $14.99 but still only offers a standard 4 by 3 presentation. I'm sorry, but I don't like large black bars on the side of my TV when I'm watching a movie. I can accept the smaller ones when watching a 1.66:1 film, like A Clockwork Orange.

There HAS to be a widescreen master so they can make widescreen copies.

Well, the DVD-R from Warners IS in anamorphic widescreen. Word is the new transfer looks really good too.

Just got mine today...took advantage of the 5 for $50 sale...so I only paid $10 for it. It is 1:85 ratio and has the trailer. Print looks excellent. Very pleased with the purchase and it's wonderful to see this film again, better than I've ever seen it!

I burned it to a DVD disc when it came on TCM a couple of weeks ago...nice copy!
