25th Anniversary Reunion!!!!!!!

Well,

there are very few of us here who post but that's all it takes to start something big. How many people here are interested in getting involved with organizing(or trying to make the right contacts to get the wheels in motion) a 25th year anniversary reunion of the Hot Dog cast? We would aim for January 2009 at Squaw Valley. They had a 20th anniversary one and apparently it was a success and Budweiser was a sponsor.

Perhaps a charity could be chosen and all proceeds from the events could be donated to towards it.

I have been trying to make contact with the right people. So far, I have emailed every major ski publication and have also been in contact with David Naughton's appearance agent. I know that "Rudy" is a weekend TV anchor at a Minneapolis news station and I have also sent him an email.

I think this is something that could happen given the right timing and right phone calls but I need a little bit of help.

Please post your thoughts/comments or email me at:

Think that's a great idea. Happy to help anyway I can.

I was crushed when I found out I'd missed the 20th anniversary. I was living in the SF Bay Area at the time and probably hit Squaw 2 or 3 times that season. Just never heard about it.

Anyhow, COUNT ME IN!!!

I also run a small creative shop (www.deyoungparker.com) and could possibly help put together a web site, etc.

They can have their Lebowski Fest. Hot Dog Fest at Squaw...YEAHHH!!!

Maybe someone could help me out with a bet.

My wifes uncle says that "Hot Dog" is the movie that has the paperboy hunting his two dollars in it. I say it was "Better Off Dead", could somebody help us out please.

Thanks

Fellow Fans,

I would love to help with this event and certainly attend. It was the marketing staff at Squaw Valley who organized the last one. If anyone lives nearby, perhaps someone could take a day to visit a few offices and find out who the organizers were since they'd have the contact lists, etc for the cast and crew. Ski resort folks are really getting busy right now preparing for the season but if a few dedicated types like us volunteered to help provide support, they might be inclined to go for a 25th reunion in 2009.

I can be reached at [email protected].

Semper Fi,

David

Come on people...get on board with David and myself. I think the biggest help would be somebody local to Squaw going down and talking with marketing or the GM.

If you have personal contacts with any of the following, please let us know:

-beer companies such as Budweiser (they were a sponsor with the last one)

-ski magazines

-local Squaw charities

-local Squaw businesses

Also, if anybody here lives in the Twin Cities area, "Rudy" is a local news anchor at WCCO. I think he would be an easy person to approach to make contact with as most news people are easy to talk to.

I have also successfully made contact with David Naughton's ("Dan") agent and he said David would appear if his expenses were covered.

I can be reached at [email protected] or [email protected] if anybody has any questions.

Cheers,

David
