What are people smoking? This was loved by critics and made some decent money as well. Certainly better than Texas Jigsaw Massacre....

I just watched this movie and i really liked it a lot.And i agree with you this movie is not a 5.9. I give it a 7 and a half out of 10.

Sadly this is a movie that deserves a collector's edition. Most likely the reviews are by people that never read the novel or missed seeing heavy explosions.

Yes, The idiots have given this an absurdly low score. 7.5 average would be more realistic. I've seen worse hit 8.

This movie has 4 stars on tv guide but is a 1.4 with little kids.
This just proves people under 18 shouldn't be allowed to vote on movies.
Personally, I was blown away by the movie, and although I haven't read the book, you can just tell it would be an extremely difficult novel to adapt without making it seem comical.
I have come to learn that the rating system of the IMDB is a bit inaccurate up and doesn't give an accurate rating of everyones views, I'm yet to work out how they work out the average.
I am under 18 myself but I am NOT going to sit saying that children today don't know what a good movie is because all they want is action and CG like so many other under 18's I've met on IMDB who need to do that do make themself feel better than everyone else.
