What other Tarzan adaptation would you recommend?
I have seen so many so I recommend the whole lot except the Bo Derek Tarzan film, that was horriably done.
Weissmuller's Tarzan
Barker's (okay but Weissmuller rules!)
See the Lincoln for respect of the first Tarzan featured film.
Godon Scott (wasn't that bad either)
Greystoke, I loved that one, seen it when I was little and it was one of the few that actually was going by the book. At least a little not all the way but a little and Lambert, did great with the animal and ape imitation.
Wolf Larson Tarzan TV series, I liked it for a series from the 1990, it felt like watching the Weissmuller, Barker etc Tarzan series but as a tv series.
Joe Lara did alright for me as Tarzan in both the tv movie and the tv series, at least they made him the way the book described Tarzan; a brunett which brings me to the last tv series of Tarzan. 2003 when CW was a respectful WB which played great shows, Tarzan was made into a modern version with Jane as a NY cop and Tarzan learning to survive in the jungles of NY. Oh and avoiding his uncle who wishes to control him and the Greystoke family business.
Oh yes and this Disney adaptation, it is great for laughs and for the kid but will never live up to the Tarzan books.
