Missing NARRATION at the end??

When I saw "Greystoke: The Legend of Tarzan, Lord of the Apes" (1984) in the eighties, I could have sworn there was a closing narration at the end about how Jane could not go into the jungle to live with John. I watched my Blu-ray today and noticed there was no such narration during that same scene.

IMDb does not mention if the ending had a narration in other versions or not.

Was there an ending narration? Did I imagine that there was one? Does anybody else remember a closing narration? I think it was from Ian Holm's character Phillippe D'Arnot.

Thoughts??

D'Arnot's final narration seems to have been dropped with the film's transition to DVD. It could be argued that it was largely unnecessary, somewhat self-serving (as the obvious set-up for a sequel), and melodramatic beyond the character of the rest of the film.
