I hope the new Godzilla film finally allows for a proper release of this film in North America.

I hope so, Biolantte and Megalon have R1 releases, this is the last Godzilla movie that needs a R1 release.... and the one I have waited for the longest

Yeah, since WB owns the rights to this one AND are releasing the reboot, perhaps, we will get a dvd/bluray.

Your prayers have been answered. The original Japanese version of this film is finally available on Region 1 DVD and Blu-ray.
