This was fucking awful.
Weird pacing and god-awful editing.
Movie has no proper protagonist to focus on (Tommy disappears for like 30 mins)
Uninteresting, annoying unlikable characters
Rob is the most pointless and idiotic character in any horror movie ever
uninspired boring Jason and his make-up looks goofy as hell as do his fingernails, huge step down from part 3 Jason

I can't believe how many people praise this piece of shit over II or III. The level of sheer incompetence at filmmaking is staggering.

I'm not the biggest fan, but it does have Savini fx and Joe Zito directing, which is always a good thing.

You didn't like his face sliding down the machete? I haven't seen it in a while, so I'll have to take another look. It's certainly not as all-out gory as the next movie, which I like despite the fact most people don't.

On the special features they talk about Jason having a movable tongue which isn't even visible in the movie
