she was supposed to be a virgin for their quest to work. do you mean in real life ?
shareI can't see that. d'Abo was only fourteen when filming began, fifteen when it finished. I know Chamberlain was no saint but that would have been unbelievably stupid.
shared'Abo comes across as remarkably well-adjusted for someone who started acting as a child, and was sexualised (on-screen) quite early on in her career. She's regularly on Instagram engaging with her fans/the public, and she comes across as very down-to-earth and full-of-life.
I'm not saying that someone couldn't be all those things, if they'd been abused/exploited as a child, but she doesn't give the vibe to me of someone who was violated. Maybe I'm being presumptuous, but she comes across as refreshingly trauma-free, so my hunch is that she wasn't having sex with adult men when she was merely a child. But who knows (considering how lax Hollywood was about child protection back in the day)? Still, I'd like to think someone was looking after her and keeping her safe. Judging by her social media posts/videos, she seems to have fond memories of that shoot.
That's the way I heard it.
shareWould you trust Chamberlain to guard your princess? Shouldn't he have been a eunuch in the movie?
shareGotta ask the straight guys...
The Princess, or Grace Jones?
