Locations
-The San Antonio River Walk itself is now accessible through Google Earth Street View, and with an imagery date of 6/2013.
Here're some GE coordinates:
29°25'29.95" N 98°29'24.74" W
You can get to it on a browser with https://www.google.com/maps/@29.424419,-98.4898325,17z
Then drag and drop the little yellow man (lower right corner) somewhere on the thin squiggly blue line that follows the river around.
-The locations of: Davey under the table, surveying the crowd from above, and getting on the boat, are in the sections around the West Market St. crossing and the East Commerce St. crossing, running along Losoya St.
-There is renovation visible in the boat boarding section, in the 06/2013 Street View.
-The crossfire gambit scene was under the bridge on Navarro St., near West Market St. (The south side of the bridge is an archway over a pathway).
-The bus they take from the Sunken Garden travels south, southwest on Broadway St. The carwash just before the overpasses is still there, but it's closed.
-Davey gets off bus and starts running: West Market St., right behind the Hilton, on the South Alamo St. corner. There is work being done in the Google Street View, but you can clearly identify the building with sectioned windows, and the square patterns on the ground.
-Davey runs down River Walk stairs with Alvarez shooting at him: West Market St. and South Alamo St. The RW entrance stairs are behind the Hilton.
-Here's a video someone made about C&D locations: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3qQyC7rawjE
It shows, among other things, that the actual interior of the Tower Life building was not used in the movie. My guess is that interior was in the Los Angeles area.
In fact, I'm going to go out on a limb and guess that the interior was the former Mellon 1st Business Bank at 601 W. 5th St., corner of South Grand Av. The sign says "Torrey Pines Bank". If someone lives around there, please check it out.
-Davey driving the car out of the garage onto the street is apparently the same location as the interior of the Textronics Tower, 601 W. 5th St., Los Angeles, CA., although there's been some facade renovation on that and the next corner building.
-Car crashes in chase scene: These were undoubtably done at Universal Studios Backlot, namely New York Street--

Compare to 1:05:10. Universal Studios Backlot's New York Street was destroyed in a fire in 2008.
-Note about Rice's car, the red Cadillac (1979 Coupe de Ville): It is shown in the Alamo scene in San Antonio, and in the Techtronics garage scene, probably in LA in the Tower interior site. I suspect they simply transported the license plates, and procured cars at each site.
-The mall scenes, probably Glendale Galeria, Glendale CA, compare to 48:46 in movie. Ceiling design matches.

-The street corner where Davey and Kim get off the bus on Morris's Twinkie mission, is on St. Mary's St. at the corner of East Nueva St. You can see the same view on Google Earth/Maps Street View.
However, in the ensuing shot, Kim is seen talking on the walkie-talkie, next to the bus she supposedly just got off, and there is a modernistic tower structure in the background. This is the "Tower of the Americas". However, it is not seen looking back down St. Mary's St. as suggested by the bus with open door next to Kim. That tower view shot is actually being made across the street on East Nueva St. So that would be an entirely different bus on a different street, at a right angle to the street they disembarked on.
Of course it was done to provide a more interesting background with the tower. Notice that in that scene the buss pulls away and we get a nice sweeping view of the tower and the church.
And notice at 8:07 we get a nice scenic looking up at Davey dramatically posed against the office tower and a beautiful clear blue sky.

It's eerie to see it all so much the same on Street View. It's been just about 30 years since filming in 1983:
