ridiculous amounts of product placement

minute maid, atari, coca cola, every where! I'm sure I'm forgetting others

when the little girl was drinking it, it was like the box was facing towards the camera perfectly.

reminded me of the extras on the karate kid where Ralph Macchio hated that he had to say his Minute Maid line and tried to cover any logos the best he could.

She was sitting right on the Coca Cola bench waiting for the airport bus.
Also, we could consider the Sunken Garden scene and River Walk boat scenes as product placement, and there are Midland Hand Held CB Radio (walkie talkie), Cadillac , Ford, and of course Atari and the Cloak & Dagger video game and board game, and The Gamekeeper Store.

Regarding Atari and Gamekeeper, it seems strange that they would want to promote a movie that encouraged a kid to steal an Atari game from The Gamekeeper Store.

Idiot that's the coolest thing about this movie. All that product placement really puts you back in the magical early '80s.

Let's not forget the Twinkies.
Also, Cadillac and The Game Keeper store.
And then, to be thorough, there's the San Antonio buses, San Antonio River Walk and boat ride, Sunken Garden, and the Alamo.

Personally, I have no problem with product placement in film... only because it's actually an accurate depiction of real life... I mean, products are everywhere in your daily life... Coke, Nike, Tide...
