Different ending?

I watched this as a kid, and recently watched it again. Haven`t seen it for years. But the ending wasn`t as I remembered! Still love it, though :-)

_OBVIOUS ENDING SPOILERS_

The movie ends with everybody happily singing and dancing, and then people leave the church Scrooge is standing outside of. So far so good. But what I seem to remember clearly from when I was little was that Scrooges fiancè from when he was young came out of the church. And they got back together again and lived happily ever after :-D

I don`t know if I dreamed that ending, or if there are different versions. Does anybody else remember the "happily ever after" ending?

As far as I know there only one ending. I watched the movie from 1985 till now (every year) and it ends with Tiny Tim and Scroodge walking away in the snow into the distance, while a voice speaks of how it all ends.

Teir are so many versions of this story. I can definitely picture an ending like that and I'd be surprised if it hasn't been done yet. Might want to look up "A Christmas Carol" but also "Scrooge" as some have that in the title instead

In this version Belle married someone else and they had a lot of children as the ghost of Christmas past showed him. I think you were dreaming or thinking of another movie.

Could be the Albert Finney version that ended that way. Seem to remember something about that being in a church scene.
