The detective is a great character. His delivery on a lot of lines is hilarious, especially that "Indian" line.
share"Scully, you're the real reason Gloria Reveille got killed. If you hadn't been so busy spying on her, and called the police when you first saw your blood brother the Indian, she'd still be alive."
sharethe line "... your blood brother, the Indian" is a subtle hint by DePalma, that the Indian is Scully's brother, friend, pal.
Scully and his new pal (the killer) giving him everything, encouragement, a friend to listen to his problems, help him out with accomadation. etc
It's funny, every few months, out of the blue I just say aloud "Gloria Revelle would still be *alive*", mimicking the way the detective says "alive".
Honest.
