According to TMZ, the guy who sang the opening theme to Beverly Hills Cop, "The Heat is On", is dead.

Yes, it's true, and very sad. I loved the music from the soundtrack "The Heat Is On" and also loved Glenn Frey singing with the Eagles. His gift to music and his fans will be missed.
