Did Salieri's "welcome march" become Non piu andrai in The wedding of Figaro?
Kinda sounds like it.

Yes it did. The Special Edition of the soundtrack album even has a track called "Salieri's March turned into Non più andrai (From Le nozze di Figaro, K. 492)"
