No blu-ray Theatrical Cut, boo!

This is my favorite movie of all time, yet the only blu-ray version you can get is the Director's Cut - which is OK, but to me the theatrical cut is vastly superior in terms of content and pacing.

I saw this movie in a theater, 70mm and Dolby sound, and I know it would be stunning on blu ray! Does anyone know if a blu ray version of the theatrical cut is ever going to be available?

I agree with you, and would love to see the theatrical version released. In fact I don't believe it's been available since the Director's Cut was released. I too find the original more economical, and I really don't like how Salieri's character takes on such a dark, menacing tone after his encounter with Stanze in the DC - that scene basically removes all sympathy for the character and was correctly left on the cutting room floor in the original. It also bugs me that the "too many notes" scene is immediately followed by a new scene that basically relays all the same information as in the previous scene - it really takes away from the impact of the original scene. More is not always better.
