That really REALLY got to me. I never even really liked bloody Phil Collins, but the way Jeff Bridges and Rachel Ward stared at each other whle the Against All Odds song was playing at very last scene was mesmerizing to say the least.
yeah the ending is a tearjerker to say the least. Being a teenager adn seeing this movie I think made me go out and find destructive woman just like her to date my whole life. I blame all my relationship problems on this fricking movie. LoL just kiddin
I should hope so. I never said or implied the movie would make guys look for women like that, but they do exist. They've destroyed a lot of basically decent but stupid guys. Needless to say, there are also plenty of men who are just as bad and do just as much harm to decent but stupid women. The situations just aren't so cinematic.
I thought the movie was pretty bad on the whole but this scene will always grip me. Someone put it up in good quality on youtube youtube.com/watch?v=Zd0FY2uzAJQ
i agree. she is like a perfect illustration of SELFCENTEREDNESS and cutthroat narcissism.
and just like in the movie, people like that often aren't even aware they possess this trait. like, SHE THINKS she has good reasons, and can't even see her own evil ways.
i agree it was intense, and original. i am filming my first film soon and i plan to try and duplicate this effect for my credits. it should be fun.
i like to talk to the actors, saying crazy stuff which they react to on cam, then change the audio to make a new effect of it. works well for interesting results
LTUM, the best of luck with your first film :)glad to see someone else agrees about how effective the last scene with use of both actor's facial expressions and music was.
