Tony Danza sings intro song??

'cause it sure sounds like him singing 'brand new life'.

That sounds nothing like him, lol. The theme song was written by show creators Martin Cohan and Blake Hunter. Since there were a few different versions, they were performed by Larry Weiss, Jonathan Wolf and Steve Warnier during the show's run.

Had to check this thread because OP had me considering that it was possibly Danza as well. Watching show right now and it's a sure fire resemblence ... my guess is that the writers went for someone with similiar voice so that we (the audience) would believe it was Tony's character given us the intro.

Edited: Watching another episode and on this one it's a totally different person singing. My guess is that they changed up singers from first season towards the last season.

Well the show just started a new cycle on Hallmark a couple days ago. The first 5 or 6 episodes, the song sounded very different than what it did later. But today, with episode 7, it sounds back to normal. Not sure if that was the different singers mentioned or just some retooled music. But it sounds much more like what I was used to today.
