Angela's glasses
I was a young child through the eighties, so I don't remember much about styles for the time, but what was up with those huge, round, bulky, brown framed reading glasses Angela wore? Was that a common style then? Because I thought they were downright ugly! She looked like a grasshopper in those things. I think smaller frames in something like a gold or silver color would have looked much better on her. Those glasses of hers remind me of the U.S. military issued eye glasses, also know as BCG's: "birth control glasses". For those who are not familiar with the reference, they are called birth control glasses because they are so hideous you can count on not getting any action while you're wearing them. Nobody in the military ever elects to wear those things outside of basic training, where you unfortunately have to wear them if you need corrective lenses of any kind, you're not allowed to wear your own glasses or any contacts.
