Does Angela ever say 'Mom'?
Why does Angela always call Mona "mother" instead of "mom"?
shareMaybe Angela and Mona wasn't that far apart in age.
Or Mona probably felt that mother would make her seem old.
Or Angela reached the age when she thought she didn't have to call her mother mom no more. That happens a lot.
Well Angela is the uptight yet elegant type - of course she would call her mom something sophisticated like "mother".
shareUmmm...it's not all that uncommon. My grandmother didn't want any of her kids calling her mom. They all called her mother. That was the way they were raised so if Mona raised Angela calling her mother, then it likely would have always stuck.
shareIt was a lesbianonic tendency.
I wanna buy your carbon offsets.
She did call Mona "Mom" in the last episode when she wanted a beer while making dinner. I think it showed that she called her "Mother" because she was kinda uptight but when she moved to Iowa she loosened up more and called her "Mom" and also drank beer and bowled.
