Charlie the model from Brooklyn
I'm not going to go searching through pages to see if this was mentioned, because I don't want to read any "spoilers." Though I probably have seen every episode of this show, it was never every episode in order, and it's been many many years.
But I recently started watching every episode in order, and I just started Season 6, and watched the Episode "Life's a Ditch," starring Leah Remini as Charlie Briscoe, Samantha's friend from Brooklyn. In the same episode, Angela is doing a photo shoot at her house, and her friend Trish is there overseeing the shoot, and she brings one of her models for it. This is where Trish and Charlie supposedly meet and Trish invites her to come live in the model house and be trained to be a model.
WTF?!?! LAST season, in Season 5, episode "Living Dolls," Samantha runs into Charlie already living at the model house, while Samantha is doing a story for her school paper. It was obviously the first time they were seeing each other since Samantha moved away. And she didn't know she was a model.
I am just wondering WHY. Why did they feel the need to completely rewrite the story? They could have just as easily written an episode with the same characters and a different story. The story wasn't so significant that it needed to be told again in a different way. I'm just really irritated. It not only ruined the continuity of the show, but totally unnecessarily! If there was a reason, maybe I could forgive it, but I'm really upset about it.
This is the first thing they've done that has really bothered me. I am completely in love with this show.
And Tony.
