I just saw the episode where Fran Drescher and a blonde woman competed for queen of an Italian food advertisement. I thought it was a very odd episode and was wondering if it was a spinoff of another show.

It did seem like a spin off. Or an attempt anyway.

It was a pilot that was never sold. The blonde was Donna Dixon, the wife of Dan Aykroyd.
