To anyone currently watching on the tv guide network

Have they been editing scenes out? It seems like in a lot of the episode a scene will just cut to another unexpectedly. Or was the show just shot like this?

TV Guide absolutely butchers EVERYTHING they show. What they've done to some great movies is frustrating. So yes, what you're seeing is bad editing on TV Guide's part.

They do it to movies, too. You just start getting into the scene being played, and BAM! it jumps to a commercial, or to another scene, leaving you going, "Wha? What just happened?"

I seriously doubt it is only the TV Guide network doing this... Why? Easy, when the show actually aired, commercials only ran about 6 minutes of an hour-long show.

Now, commercials/promos/PSAs occupy 18 minutes of a one hour time slot. So to speak, they have to remove 6 minutes of the 27 minute show to make the square peg fit into the round hole...

The ONLY relief from cutting out more than one-fifth of the program is to use the split screen to run the credits at the end of the show while the beginning of the next show runs on the other split, and some shows run the credits at 2x (or more) than the original speed.
