Jonathan the ball boy

In the final Jonathan episode the writers made him a ball boy for the Mets and he screwed up big time causing the Mets to lose. It was so bad for him that even Samantha gave him grief. Tony Danza should have stepped up to the producers and say this script was too cruel to Danny Pintauro whose character became so pathetic that he couldn't get anymore roles cause of typecasting.

I just saw the episode. The way they handle the whole thing is sloppy. It's supposed to be about Tony's fears in getting Sam a job, but that hardly even has any development. The whole thing could have been spent on Jonathan's work as a ball boy but it's just so abruptly done. He picks up a fair ball that he thinks is foul and because of him, the Mets go from first to last place in their division? It's not that believable. All it does is make Jonathan look like a loser. He doesn't even get any redemption or anything. It's just, "Hey, look. Jonathan screwed up big time and ruined the Mets' season. What an idiot!"
