This has been announced for a September release in the uk but no word if they`ll both be available separately as i`m sure many fans will already have 1.

Finally.
I just checked on a search dvd site & blah.co.uk seem to be the cheapest at £17.99 http://www.blahdvd.com/blah/DVD_Product.aspx?productid=DVD-BBCDVD2488-W6&WT.mc_id=19&ref=de724bd0-b9c6-444b-bada-81e9a47aa932
Comes out around mid septemeber.
Series 2 might be available separatley a couple of months later.

Hate to spoil the good news and I could be wrong.
But I ordered Tripods series 1 & 2 from Send it and they emailed me today to say it had been cancelled and they could no longer offer it for sale in september.
Now this could be a mistake and I immediately ordered it from Amazon who haven't yet emailed me to cancel my order but lets keep our fingers crossed and wait till september....

I've just been emailed by Amazon that Tripods 1 & 2 has been cancelled,considering it was supposed to come out in Sept this year and then put back until next Sept 2008,now it has just been scrapped.
Now i'll have to make do with my bootleg edition.

No....no,no,no,no,no!!!! ARRGGGHHH!!!! Not again! Ah well, my Second Sight DVD set of season 1 will have to remain without a companion...forever.

Boo Hoo! Damn you BBC, and damn you 2 Entertain. I know that I really shouldn't say that, but oh, soooo frustrating!

Thanks for the info, much appreciated. Now I no longer have to wait in anticipation only to have the rug pulled from under at the last moment.

So series 2 wont be released in the forseeable future???

Damn that sux big time...I just bought the season 1 DVD and was hoping to get the rest of the series...Oh well...It will be released eventually...I hope.

Tripods series 1 and 2 has now been released on BBC DVD (Region 2)...and it's pretty darn good actually (imo). Like many others, I was massively disappointed when last year's 'release' came to naught, and even though there was box-art on the Play and Amazon sites, I refused to believe it was being released until the magic 'dispatched' e-mail arrived in my in-box! Hurrah!

Whit sad old loser'd be thick enough to don thon get-up?
