Reading the books....

Hi,

I'm in the middle of the second book, my dad handed The White Mountains to me one day and told me to read them. I'm really enjoying them so far, I've never seen a representation of our possible future quite like this.

Anyhow, I happened upon the information that a series (or at least part of a series) was made. I haven't seen any of it, but I'm very interested. I live in Canada, but I'm worried that I won't be able to get a hold on the first season, or the second for that matter. Does anyone have any idea how I might go about it?

First series is on DVD dunno if it's available in Canada though, second... probably impossible :/ Check ebay?

You'd probably have an easier time getting hold of a VHS version. They're obviously inferior to DVDs, and I'm not even sure that Series 2 was ever released in that format.

Both series were released on DVD in Europe and USA/Canada. They are still available in USA and Canada. Pity it was never released down under, I loved the books and the series.

Series one has been released on dvd in Australia.

Yes, in the mid-80's they did a TV version of the first two books. There are discrepancies, but that happens when you adapt things.

I am going to watch it. I found WTTC on display in the school library and had no idea it was a prequel. By chance the very next year a friend was getting rid of a box of paperbacks and it contained the entire trilogy.
