Cromm Cruac doesn't make sense
Gulnar wanted his master killed. He told him to attack knowing full well he'd be killed by the falling gate, so it makes no sense for him to try to take revenge for it.

I guess Gulnar like all megalomaniacs just wanted the power to destroy his enemies, which included Robin (Robert) and the merries.
The Witch is back!
Except he said it revenge for killing his master and humiliating him, but he wasn't humiliated and he sent his master to die, its what he wanted. The writers just screwed up.
Maybe they just thought that would add to Gulnar's insanity.
Like Gulnar doesn't know what's real or what's in his head anymore.

Yes I thought that- Gulnar knew that the gate would crush his master (his vision which he refused to reveal to him when asked, maybe hoping to assume his mantle?), but ordered him forward anyway, to his death. Then he screams in despair??
This was not adequately explained by the writers.
