Looking For Sound Effects And The Producers

So i've been looking EVERYWHERE for the sound effects of G.I. JOE... can't find it. I google it and that stupid live action movie. Then i got the idea. If HANNA BARBERA can release all of THIER sound effects... then maybe the co. that produced G.I. JOE did the same.

I know that ILM helped, that's why *beep* sounded like Tie Fighters... or at least they were borrowed, but the majority of the stuff i'm looking for... well the ONLY thing i'm looking for is the gun sound. Everything after that is a bonus.

SO, questions are.
1) what co produced G.I. Joe
2) where can i find the Sound Effects.

You'd probably have to check with the origional sound designers. In the days before digital audio it took a lot of work to build up a collection of sound effects. Sound designers would have reels and reels of audio tape with their own effects. Those might be origional effects that they created or they might be stuff that they copied from previous productions that they had worked on and reused in a later production. There were even stock libraries where you could go and buy recordings of various effects. Heck sometimes they even just lifted an effect straight out of another movie/show. I know on "The Evil Dead" DVD they talk on the commentary about lifting an audio sample straight out of "Citizen Kane" because they wanted to use it and since it didn't have any music or dialogue over it they could lift it out perfectly.
